1.1序言

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Preamble
SRK Exploration Services (SRKES) were asked by Kaskad N to review their Kuludjun gold project in the far northeast of Kazakhstan (Figure 1). SRKES understand that parts of this review may be included in a Competent Persons Report (CPR) which is planned for 2007. A field visit was made to the property on the 13th and 14th of November 2006.
1.2 Qualifications of Consultants
SRKES is part of an international group (the SRK Group) that comprises over 500 professional staff offering expertise in a wide range of geological and engineering disciplines. The SRK Group' s independence is ensured by the fact that it holds no equity in any project and that its ownership rests solely with its staff. The SRK Group has a demonstrated track record of undertaking independent assessments of mineral resource and reserve estimates, project evaluations and audits, competent person's reports and independent feasibility studies on behalf of exploration and mining companies and financial institutions worldwide.
This report was prepared by Dr Chris Wilson who is an associate principal exploration geologist with experience in gold-mineralized systems, management of grass roots exploration through to resource definition drilling programmes, QA/QC management and application of Best Practice. Dr Wilson is a Chartered Fellow in good standing with the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Neither the SRK Group nor any of its staff employed in the preparation of this report has any beneficial interest in the assets of Kaskad N. SRKES will be paid a fee for this work in accordance with normal professional consulting practice.
1.3 Scope and Status Of Work
This report is based on a proposal which was submitted to Mr Kadyr Khassanov (General Director Kaskad N) on the 24th of October 2006. The proposal comprised the following main components:
• Overview of available geological data for the entire exploration licence to allow comment on prospectivety.
• Review the geology and mineralization of advanced projects within the licence. Comment on work
programmes relative to requirements for JORC compliance.
• Comment on exploration sampling and mapping; trenching programmes; and drilling, core logging and
sampling.
• Assess diamond drill hole density, down hole survey data and recovery with regard to the requirements
for the generation of 3D models, and resource / reserve calculations.
• Review the design of the planned sample preparation facility and make recommendations as required.
Assess the suitability of existing QA/QC programme (blanks, standards and duplicates; repeat assays at
an independent laboratory) and comment as required.
1.4 Sources Of Information
This report is based on a data set provided by Kaskad N and observations made by SRKES during the field

visit to the Kuludjun site. SRKES were provided full access to all data and drill core. Relevant parts of Soviet geological reports and data sets were also made available in digital format. SRKES scanned historic maps and cross sections as required.
Verbal discussions were held with Mr Kadyr Khassanov (General Director of Kaskad N), Mr Vilor Abishev (Geological Advisor to Kaskad N), Mr Sergey Vafin (Chief Geologist), Mr Bolat (Chief Geophysicist) and staff at site.
